Soft Skills

I have taken multiple steps to develop my soft skills outside the classroom through leadership positions and extracurricular activities. Here are some of my strongest soft skills.

Leadership

I have had the opportunity to develop my leadership skills through many positions and organizations. Through the President’s Leadership Fellows Program, our focus is enacting sustainable change through leadership and development within our community. And while I was the VP of Communications of the American Marketing Association, I managed and mentored a team of over 10 people to develop all our marketing campaigns.

Life Time Learner

I have always been in love with learning. In and outside my career I try to skill build and learn new things to broaden my horizons and develop a better understanding of the world as well as myself. I learned Spanish fluently and currently learning ASL on my own. I am also teaching myself skills like Photoshop and Illustrator.

Time Management

Being a full-time student involved in school organizations and working full time across multiple jobs simultaneously, I have developed my time management skills to effectively manage all my workload and responsibilities. Being able to manage time for my professional and personal self can often be difficult, but a skill I have been able to improve as time goes on. I have become an avid scheduler and a lover of my calendar.

Intrapreneur

I am a self-starter and I take pride in all the work I do. I constantly analyze what I am doing and try to find a way to improve or make things more efficient. Moving to Tampa all on my own gave me a real perspective on what it takes to build yourself and your brand completely. Working is outside 9-5, it is something that has no bounds when you have passion.

Awards/ Recognitions

Bertie Green Travel Award
A national scholarship won from a highly selective process of an interview, written essay, transcript all in Spanish. I was recognized for my Spanish abilities and involvement within Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica nationally. The award of this scholarship was to travel to Ecuador on a 10 day excursion, but unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19.

Diversity Leadership Scholar Award
An international scholarship in recognition as an underrepresented marketing student who has demonstrated leadership within my chapter and my personal life. I was given the opportunity to also attend the International Collegiate Conference for AMA in New Orleans to receive my award as well as network with professionals around the world and learn from some of the top professionals in marketing.
